Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good photo of what was going on inside the tent (gorgeous set-up) or the fireworks that were set off, but I give A & C major kudos for pulling this off all on their own. It was the most beautiful day (23C, sunny) for a beautiful couple. So heart-warming.

And I said, ‘I know it well.’

You said, ‘See, look it, that’s yours!
Stacked on top with your brother’s
See how they resemble one anothers
Even in their plastic little covers.’

But I don’t think I will now. Can you believe this is Brooke Shields? Amazing.

To my Mom! Who probably (hopefully?) has no idea this website exists. Regardless, I think she’s the most amazing person and is, at 50-something, still incredibly beautiful. It makes me smile to think that I’m becoming more like her (even if it does mean that I’m picking up on the little neuroses as well).

This photo reminded me of how she looked in her wedding photos – it’s all in the demure smile (though she’d never smoke).

Horses eating up the (downtown) core

One of my favourite things about Toronto is that the police still ride horses in the downtown area. I don’t see the point of it (the horses must have golden temperaments), especially when they’re on Richmond St on a Saturday night. Regardless:

A philosophy of bridges

My friend MK has started writing for Torontoist – you should check his stuff out.  The first instalment was about the handpainted signs in Honest Ed’s, and this one is about a Toronto-based artist, Paul G. Russell, and his latest instalment. Good stuff.
